A letter of support: 'Quality of life is not something that happens by accident.'

Updated: Oct 12, 2021

To the residents of Stephenville:

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the focus groups, city staff and most of all the mayor and city council for the preparation of the bond election on May 1.

As a community grows, it takes countless hours to plan for the future. It shows the caring for our community to compile the bond package.

We are proud of our community and realize our quality of life is the hard work of many people.

We are lifelong residents of Stephenville. We have both served on the city council and school board. There are many hours of sacrifice that come with the positions.

Two years ago, when we built our new home, we chose to stay in the city limits. There are so many benefits that are provided to citizens inside the city limits.

We are also excited about the Harbin Drive and Long Street projects that are not in the bond package.

Thank you for these projects; they involved time and planning by the staff.

Being proud of your community, you realize the quality of life is not something that happens by accident. It is the combination of all these people working for all of us.

Put us down as strong supporters of Stephenville and the bond election.

Sincerely,

Larry and Pat Hammett
