A dash of cayenne pepper gives this sweet, savory snack mix a nice kick.

I know, I know; it’s two days after Christmas and you’re sick of eating. I am too.
But a new year is just around the corner and after a few days of resting, you’ll be ready to start snacking again.
I made this snack mix for our holiday celebration and it was a big hit.
It’s made with Cinnamon Chex cereal and a dash of cayenne pepper, which gives it a perfect kick to the sweetness.
I doubled this recipe for our big family and it was gone before the end of the day.
WHAT YOU NEED
2 cups Cinnamon Chex
2 cups Cheeze-Its
½ cup lightly salted cashews
½ cup pecan pieces
¼ cup butter
¼ cup brown sugar
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
HOW TO MAKE IT
Preheat oven to 350 degrees; line baking sheet with parchment paper.
In large bowl, combine Chex Mex, crackers, pecans and cashews.
Melt butter and add brown sugar and cayenne pepper; drizzle over cereal/cracker mixture, making sure to coat everything.
Spread out on baking sheet and cook in oven until crisp and slightly brown (about 10 minutes).
