3 of SPARD’s top female Track & Field athletes compete at State Meet. This is how they did.
Three of SPARD’s top Track & Field athletes competed at the State Meet in Weatherford last weekend.
The girls competed against 28 other cities in Region 4, which is one of the largest and most competitive regions that take part in year-round track, and had to place in the top 6 to advance to State.
Regional Meet Qualifications:
Kayzlee Fain placed 4th in the 800m run in 8 and under to advance with a time of 3:26.
Greenly Fanning placed 5th in the 400m dash in 10 and under to advance with a time of 1:16.
Grace Walton placed 3rd in High Jump in 12 and under to advance with a jump of 4' 2"
The girls also competed July 27-29 at the TAAF Games of Texas in Brownsville.
Kayzlee Fain placed 8th in the 800m run and set a new personal best of 3:24.
Greenly Fanning placed 15th in the 400m dash in the prelims against 34 competitors with a new personal best of 1:15.
Grace Walton placed 5th in the finals in high jump with 4' 2".
