This iced coffee pick-me-up has become part of my daily diet. And it packs a ton of protein.
I’ve become a barista.
Every day around 2:30 p.m., I reach into the cabinet for a glass, fill it with ice and make myself a low calorie, protein-rich iced coffee.
It keeps my hunger at bay until dinner and wakes me up after hours of writing.
As much as I love an iced coffee, I try to avoid consuming empty calories, so having one on the regular is new.
This one doesn’t have empty calories and it’s a great snack for those looking for ways to work extra protein into their diets.
HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED
Nescafe Gold Espresso (I have Intense, but I hear Blonde is great too)
Premier Protein shake (any flavor)
Skinny Mixes (salted caramel)
HOW YOU MAKE IT
In a measuring cup, mix one tsp. of espresso into 6 oz. water (you can use more or less depending on how strong you like your coffee).
I add in a couple squirts of caramel syrup (it’s sweet so be careful) and stir.
Pour mixture into a large glass of ice and fill it to the top with a Premier Protein shake.
Enjoy!
