SHS grad donating proceeds from sno cone sales to support Heart of Gold game.

Today’s forecast: Hot. Really hot.

So you should take the kids to get a sno cone and while you’re at it, help raise money for one of Stephenville High School’s most important causes: Heart of Gold.

Two sno cone stands in Stephenville are donating all proceeds from Tuesday’s sales (July 14) to the Heart of Gold game.

Drew Roberson, owner of the Coconut Hut (both locations), lost his son Ryan last year to Ewing’s Sarcoma.

With July designated as Sarcoma Awareness Month, Drew thought it was the perfect opportunity to give back to his hometown.

Drew graduated from SHS in 1986 and recently returned to Stephenville and purchased the Coconut Hut.

The Coconut Hut is open from 2-8 p.m. at the Ranger College location and 2-7 p.m. at the Graham Street location.
