Online shopping: This clothing company is where I turn when I can’t find what I need locally.

This past year has taught me a very valuable lesson: Online shopping for clothes can actually work.

Like many of you, I have mastered the art of ordering anything I need for the house with just a click of the button. (Thank you Amazon).

But purchasing clothes has been a different story.

Most things I order online never fit, then I have to go through the hassle of making a return.

That all changed several months ago when I discovered Good American, a clothing brand affiliated with the Kardashians. (I can see you rolling your eyes, so stop it.)

While I would rather gnaw off my own arm than catch up with the Kardashians on TV, their clothing line is legit.

My first purchase from Good American was a white dress I wore on New Year’s Eve. It’s a beautiful long sleeve, fitted midi I was pretty sure would make me look like Mount Everest, but I threw caution to the wind and ordered it anyway.

I was fully prepared to send it back, but when it arrived, a miracle happened; the dress fit perfectly and I couldn’t wait to wear it.

It’s called the Strut Midi ($119) and it is absolutely gorgeous.

The dress is super soft, and although it’s very fitted, it’s designed to fit women with curves. In other words, it holds you in at all the right places.

And what woman doesn’t love that?

If you are someone who likes to wear lots of vibrant colors and patterns, Good American is not for you.

Their clothes are sleek; with simple striking lines and designs that almost solely come in black, white and beautiful neutrals.

And you can view each item on different models for sizing.

I loved my white dress so much that I recently ordered a couple of things for spring including a gorgeous pair of leopard print slings (Standard Square Toe 60 for $159.)

But my new favorite thing hanging in my closet right now is a black, faux leather body suit (Strong Shoulder Body for $115).

Believe me when I say that you are going to get sick of me wearing this.

It’s a statement piece that will never go out of style and what I love most is that I can wear it at a fancy dinner or on a casual night out with friends.

As you know, I am a big advocate of shopping local and I spend my fair share of money at area boutiques.

But sometimes it’s fun to shop for things you can’t find locally and Good American is a great alternative for high-quality clothes designed to fit women who aren’t super models.
