Ruff has been a resident of the Erath County Humane Society for more than a year now and needs a permanent home and family to love him.

Ruff is a one to two-year-old male Pit Bull mix.

“He is neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News. “He loves to play and tug of war is his favorite.

“He knows how to sit and will take treats gently, but he is not friendly with other dogs or cats.”

Ruff also likes to play in the water, but is a bit of a bed hog and could use some practice with a leash.

Smokey

Smokey-the-cat also needs a new home.

This one to two-year-old male is litter box trained and microchipped.

“He is a big, fluffy boy that loves attention,” Serena said

To meet Ruff, Smokey or any of the other 53 dogs, 32 cats and two rabbits up for adoption, stop by the animal shelter at 891 East Road in Stephenville.
