Timid Aussie mix and chubby cat are this week’s featured pets.

Loony

One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society is Loony, a one-year-old Aussie mix.

"She is a timid girl that will need a patient home,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News. “She was terrified when she came in, but she has finally warmed up enough to want pets from the staff and greets everyone with her wiggly butt.”

Loony would do best in a home with no children. She barks in a kennel and is not potty trained, but she does fairly well on a leash.

“We would recommend fostering before adopting,” Serena said.

Loony is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heart worm negative and on prevention.

She has been at the animal shelter since Aug. 4. Wynona is a two-year-old female domestic shorthair.

“This sweet girl is very people friendly and enjoys being held,” Serena said.

Wynona

Wynona is a little overweight and on a diet. She is partially vaccinated, microchipped and litter box trained.

The adopter will be legally required to have her spayed within 30 days of adoption.
