This week’s featured pets include shy cat and playful Poodle/Lab mix brothers.

One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society is Jagger, a one to two-year-old female domestic shorthair.

“She is a lovely girl that enjoys getting head and neck scratches,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News. “She is a little shy at first, but warms up quickly.”

Jagger is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and litter box trained.

She has been at the shelter since the beginning of March.Chad and Dylan are one-year-old Poodle/Lab mix brothers.

“They are both very energetic boys and will need room to run or a person that will walk them often,” Serena said. “They are good with other dogs and cats and love to play.”

Chad and Dylan walk fairly well on a leash, but do need some extra training.

“They were both born with bald spots, but we have had them on allergy medication and they have grown some hair,” Serena said.

Chad and Dylan are neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention.

They have been at the shelter since August 2023.
