One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society is Harold, a three-year-old male cat.
Harold was found as a stray and never reclaimed.
“This shy boy is definitely on the nervous side and prefers to hide in the back of his kennel, but with time and patience, he’s slowly starting to come around,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News.
“And he is not a fan of being picked up or held.”
Harold is neutered, fully vaccinated and has been dewormed. He is pending a microchip.
Chicken Egg Roll is a one-year-old male Pit mix.
He was recently adopted, but returned after showing off his clever escape artist skills.
If left alone for too long, he’ll dig or find a way out of a fenced yard, so he’ll need a secure home and plenty of supervision.
Chicken is a friendly, happy boy who gets along great with dogs, cats and kids.
He walks beautifully on a leash and loves going for car rides.

He isn’t a fan of being crated or left alone for long periods, so he’d do best in a home where someone is around most of the time.
Chicken is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and heartworm negative.
