Thank you, Erath County! It’s been a wild ride so far!

My blog has been up and running now for one month, but already, it has been viewed more than 39,000 times and I am just shy of reaching my first 1,000 Facebook likes!
Beneath the Surface News is an ongoing work in progress as I continue to tweak the website’s design and develop a vibe that suits me.
The only thing I know for sure is that it’s a place where I will continue to share all the wonderful things happening in Erath County.
When I first decided to start my own blog, I could never have imagined that the majority of my first few weeks would be spent writing about the COVID-19 pandemic.
But here we are.
The world – and our very own piece of it – have become virtually unrecognizable as we all work together to stop the spread of this virus.
Like you, I hope this all ends soon, and we can get back to work and fellowship.
Until then, I will use my 20-year experience as a community journalist to bring you the most important and updated news on the pandemic and its local affects.
I want to thank each of you for all the support, kind words, encouragement and especially for reading and sharing my work.
This new adventure is turning out to be better than I ever could have imagined and it’s all because of you!
During these difficult times, community matters more than ever.
Let’s continue loving and supporting one another like we know how to do.
