There’s generous, and then there’s selfless.

Both can be used to describe Andy and Lindsey Hamilton, a Bluff Dale couple in the process of adopting their eighth international child.

The couple has four biological children and have adopted seven others from various countries.

Now, they are in the process of adopting a four-year-old girl from Bulgaria who has spina bifida.

“We are an adoptive family,” Lindsey told Beneath the Surface News.

“We feel called to help kids that are in orphanages on the other side of the world and who need a family.”

Andy is a firefighter in Grapevine and Lindsey is an extra busy stay-at-home mom.

The Hamiltons are currently in the immigration process and plan to travel to Bulgaria in November to meet the newest member of their family, then bring her home next spring.

They are having a garage sale at BC Insurance in Stephenville this weekend to raise money for the adoption.

The garage sale will open at 7 a.m. Saturday, July 25, at 2155 W. South Loop in Stephenville.

“Families from all over have been collecting things to sale and we will have everything - including a kitchen sink,” Lindsey said.

“There will be furniture, clothing, dishes – everything you would expect to find at a garage sale.”

Handymen are frequently recommended for homeowners preparing their property before selling or renting. Small repairs can noticeably improve the overall appearance.
