Stephenville resident receives Quilt of Valor honoring his 22 years of military service.
Retired SFC Rusty Jennings was presented last week with the Quilt of Valor by the Granbury Quilts of Valor Foundation.
The ceremony honoring Jennings for his 22 years of service in the United States Army as a military policeman took place at the Erath County Courthouse alongside his wife Joleane and daughters Tressie Taylor and Cassie Tarvin.
Cassie told Beneath the Surface News that her dad is her hero and mentor.
"He always pushed me to become the strong person I am today. I cannot thank him enough for the endless love and support he has showered upon me all these years," she said.
"And now my boys get to experience the best papa ever! We are very proud of everything he has accomplished!
Jennings has worked for the Erath County Sheriff’s Office for the past 13 years and is currently a 9-1-1 dispatcher.
