Quarantining is hard: Slip into bamboo for the sleep of your life

Updated: Apr 14, 2020

I love my new bamboo sheets!

On a recent cold and rainy afternoon, my 22-year-old daughter crawled into my bed to catch up with the Kardashians.

(For the record, the Kardashians are not on my list of favorite things.)

The next day she mentioned my comfy new sheets.

“Mom, where did you get those sheets? They are so soft!”

I told her they came from Cariloha Bamboo, a company we recently discovered thanks to a segment on Good Morning America.

Now I’m not one to get excited about routine household items. The Husband knows that I don’t want a set of pans or a spatula for my birthday, and sheets barely register on my excitement radar.

But bamboo sheets are different.

COOL AND SO, SO SOFT

I’m at an age where the night sweats can make a solid sleep impossible.

Cariloha claims its bamboo sheets are cooler than cotton, and they are. To me, they feel a little satiny without the slippage.

I’m not exaggerating when I say that I haven’t slept this well in years, which is great, because being confined to my home 24-hours a day is exhausting.

I need my rest, and if you need a new set of sheets, try bamboo.

They can be a little pricey, but you can scour the web for a good deal.

On a side note, The Husband is such a believer in all things bamboo that he ordered himself some bamboo undies. They should arrive any day.

Don’t tell him I told you.
