Patrol Sgt. Steven Watts will be laid to rest on Friday with military honors.

The community is invited to say a final goodbye to one of Stephenville’s finest.
The funeral for Patrol Sgt. Steven Watts, a 25-year veteran of the Stephenville Police Department, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church Stephenville.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Watts passed away on Monday after a brief illness.
His patrol car will remain parked in front of the Stephenville Police Department through Thursday.
The community is invited to leave notes, cards, flowers and other tokens of appreciation in Watts' honor.
Sgt. Watts is survived by his wife Jenny and two adult children, Hannah and Nick.
