Nature walks, a rain simulation and info on all things Texas coming to Nature Fest Oct. 8.
Round up the kids and plan for a day of fun when the Prairie Oaks Master Naturalist Chapter hosts its fourth annual Nature Fest from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 8. at the Bosque River Trail.
The free event will include informational booths about fossils, animals, trees and insects, nature walks, a rainfall simulation and games like “Can you raise a baby bird?”
A few of the participating organizations include Tarleton Student Chapter of the Wildlife Society, Middle Trinity Groundwater Conservation District, Fort Worth Nature Center, Lake Mineral Wells State Park, Lake Brownwood State Park, Muse WMA, Ranger College and the Texas Bluebird Society.
