Erath County commissioners have appointed Larry Smith to serve as chairman of the Erath County Historical Commission.
Smith has been a member of the commission since 2020.
“I look forward to partnering with area museums, Tarleton State University, our local Main Street program, the Texas Forts Trail and the Texas Historical Commission,” Smith said. “For
our stories to continue, we must tell our stories.”
The Erath County Historical Commission serves as the primary point of contact for individuals who need more information about particular aspects of history and historic sites in the area.
