Wellington State Bank is proud to announce that Kelsey Goates, vice president of marketing and human resources, has earned the designation of Certified Financial Marketing Professional.

The CFMP designation is administered by the American Bankers Association (ABA).

The CFMP is the only industry-recognized certification for bank marketers and demonstrates “mastery of data and analytics, leadership, strategy and revenue generation.”

Candidates must meet eligibility requirements including years of experience and/or a baccalaureate degree with a business, economic or marketing-related major, and completion of the ABA Bank Marketing School.

Goates graduated from the ABA Bank Marketing School in April 2022 and left with a goal to earn her CFMP certification by the end of the year.

Goates joined Wellington State Bank in 2019.

She has served in many capacities in the bank including branch operations, marketing and recently accepted a promotion in October to be the marketing and human resources director for all 14 branches.

She offices out of the Stephenville branch located at 2895 Northwest Loop.
