Things at the Erath County Humane Society are running smoothly and pet adoptions remain steady.

That’s the word from ECHS executive director Serena Wright who told me that the stay-at-home order has not affected operations.

“It’s business as usual here,” she said. “We are lucky that we didn’t have an influx of abandoned animals like places in the Metroplex did. I was worried that would happen, and was thankful when it didn’t.”

But there are still plenty of animals that need a forever home.

Meet this week’s featured pets.

Vin

SAY HI TO CUPID Cupid is a happy Lab mix.

“She is about a year old and loves to play. She is micro chipped and fully vaccinated,” Wright said.

VIN HAS ATTITUDE Vin is a two to three-year-old longhaired tomcat.

“He looks grumpy all the time, but is a super lovable guy,” Wright said.

Stop by the shelter and meet these two and other pets up for adoption.
