Conditions at the already-crowded Erath County Humane Society have been made more difficult following days of torrential rain, and on Wednesday, ECHS executive director Serena Wright issued a plea for help.

“It has been very overwhelming here,” Serena told Beneath the Surface News. “We need basic cleaning supplies like bleach, paper towels and Clorox wipes.”

And with 81 dogs, 102 cats and four hamsters, there is also a huge need for adoptions.

If you can help, stop by the animal shelter located at 891 East Road in Stephenville.
