Twenty-one.

That’s the number of new cases of COVID-19 reported to Erath County officials on Tuesday.

But Dr. Kelly Doggett said the number isn’t as bad as it sounds because it includes the three-day weekend.

“The number is steady,” Dr. Doggett told Beneath the Surface News. “But we will see if we get a spike from Labor Day over the next couple of weeks.

“It ain’t over yet.”

Fourteen of the 21 cases are in Stephenville, one in Dublin and six in the county, bringing the total to 637 with 107 active cases.
