Independence Day celebration: Stephenville gets ready to party like it’s 1776!

Updated: Jun 30, 2022

Nothing says family-fun like the city of Stephenville’s annual Fourth of July celebration.

This year’s events will take place on Monday, July 4, and kick off with the traditional parade at 9 a.m.

The parade will begin at the south entrance of Stephenville City Park, turn left on Graham, left on Washington and left on Harbin where it will come to an end.

Make plans to hang around City Park where food vendors will set up from noon to 10 p.m.

Lawn mower races will take place from noon–3 p.m. and Mr. P’s Inflatables (for all ages) will be open from 4-9 p.m.

Spend the evening listening to great music at Birdsong Amphitheater with Courtney Patton from 6:15-7 p.m. followed by Lee Roy Parnell from 7:15-8:30 and Larry Joe Taylor from 8:40-9:45.

An extravagant display of fireworks will light up the night sky at 10 p.m.
