If you want a tighter, smoother and clearer complexion you might benefit from this procedure. I did.

The quest to improve my aging complexion is this year’s self-improvement project, and for that, I have turned to my official beauty-maker, Amy Roach.

Amy is an expert on a variety of procedures to address problems that come with the pitfalls of getting older. She is also a licensed RN and chief injector at Pure Image in Stephenville.

I started receiving Botox from Amy a couple of years ago and during one of my treatments, I talked about the things that trouble me most; brown spots caused from years of sun damage, uneven skin tone, under eye bags and a few too many crinkles.

Getting older is super fun.

She recommended I try microneedling, a procedure that uses tiny sterilized needles to prick the skin to produce collagen and generate new tissue for a smoother and firmer looking complexion.

Last year I had two treatments. The first went well, the second not so much.

I’m a bit of a crybaby when it comes to discomfort, and wimped out halfway through my second session, and while I was happy with the results I did receive, I wanted the full benefits, so I decided to give it another try.

This time Amy used a stronger numbing cream that made all the difference and I made it through an entire session comfortably – and my results are amazing.

Just days after the treatment, I began to see a noticeable difference in my complexion with tighter, smoother and clearer skin.

I was even kind of glow-y.

The procedure takes about 45 minutes and that includes time for the numbing cream to work its magic.

I left Pure Image that day looking like I had a bad sunburn and my face stung a little, but it immediately felt tighter. I treated it with a soothing lotion Amy gave me and stayed away from makeup for the next couple of days.

I also experienced some peeling.

But all of that pale in comparison to the results I received and this year will include these treatments on a regular basis.

Do a little research on microneedling and if it’s something you think you can benefit from, give Amy a call at Pure Image.
