Halloween fun: 6 things to know about Thursday’s Safe Trick ‘R Treat.

By SARA VANDEN BERGE

The Stephenville Chamber of Commerce’s annual Safe Trick ‘R Treat is happening this week (and so far the weather looks like it will cooperate).

Here are a few more things you should know about this festive event.

1. Kids are invited to dress up and trick-or-treat with local businesses stationed around the plaza and courthouse square from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday.

2. There will be a FUN ZONE in the plaza parking lot featuring games and activities for children.

3. The entire area will be blocked off to vehicle traffic.

4. Stations with hand sanitizer will be set up around the downtown area and candy booths will be spaced further apart.

5. Masks and gloves will also be available.

6. Get creative because there will be a costume contest at 6 p.m. at the plaza.
