Greens Creek Baptist Church spearheading relief effort for tornado victims. Here’s how to help.
Greens Creek Baptist Church in Dublin is collecting supplies for tornado victims in Kentucky.
Church deacon Chuck Doane is spearheading the effort and told Beneath the Surface News that supplies will be transported to Kentucky in two weeks.
“This is a community effort; it’s not just about Greens Creek Church. We welcome anyone who wants to get involved,” Doane said. “Our goal is to get as much (supplies) as possible. If I need to come up with 10 trailers to haul it all, I’ll make it happen.”
The church is collecting the following items:
New clothes (No used clothes)
Water
Paper products
Baby items
Canned food
Hygiene products
Boxed food
Blankets
Tarps
Dog food
Monetary donations are also accepted. Checks can be made to Greens Creek Baptist Church disaster fund.
Members of Greens Creek are coordinating the effort with a Baptist church in Mayfield, Kentucky to deliver the supplies.
“They asked us to wait two weeks because they have a lot right now and will need it badly then,” Doane said.
You can drop off donations at the church or Rockin D Hydraulic Services located at 6507 U.S. Hwy. 377 in Stephenville.
