For the first time in 23 years, Texstar Ford Lincoln in Stephenville is under new ownership.
Doug Montgomery told Beneath the Surface News that he sold the dealership to the Gilchrist family, which owns 11 other dealerships.
“I hated to sell it, but it was time,” Montgomery said. “Charlie Gilchrist and his sons, Stephen and Reese, purchased it. They are great friends.”
The dealership is now Triple Crown Ford.
But if you think Montgomery will be jetting off to relax in the sunshine, think again.
He plans to put his full attention on his local Kubota dealership.
