Dr. Roy Byrd joins the team at AccelHealth.

AccelHealth CEO Esther Taylor has announced that Dr. Roy Byrd, MD, has joined the clinic in Brownwood.
Dr. Byrd is a native of Brownwood and graduate of Brownwood High School. He graduated in 2010 from the University of Texas at Austin and spent the following year as a medical research assistant in the department of trauma surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.
In 2015, he received his Doctor of Medicine from the University Texas School of Medicine in San Antonio. Dr. Byrd completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 2018.
He has been practicing medicine in Brownwood since 2018 as a hospitalist at Brownwood Regional Medical Center where he served as the physician director of Respiratory Services and was the hospital’s Chief of Staff in 2021.
Dr. Byrd said he is excited to join AccelHealth.
