Matt Miller told Beneath the Surface News on Sunday that he is postponing two campaign events after a family member tested positive for COVID-19.
Miller is running for place 7 on the Stephenville ISD board of trustees.
“The timing is terrible, but we have to quarantine for two weeks,” Miller said.
He said he plans to reschedule the two meet-and-greets he had planned to host on Oct. 8 and Oct. 13.
Miller, 39, graduated from Stephenville High School in 1999 and Tarleton State University in 2003 with a degree in business.
He is a financial advisor with Edward Jones.
“I’m at a place in my life and in my career where I am afforded the opportunity to give back. I hope to make a positive impact on the future of our amazing community, and I believe that starts with our children,” he said. “That is why I am running for school board. I would be humbled to have your vote in the upcoming election.”
