Bar owners anxious for Abbott to give the green light to re-open. But not everyone is waiting.

Business owners are anxiously awaiting word from Gov. Greg Abbott on Monday when he is expected to announce the next phase of re-openings across Texas.

Bar owners in particular say they are frustrated that they still haven’t been given the OK to get back to business, and one is balking at the order to remain closed.

Stephenville’s Rockin’ P bar was open all weekend.

The bar’s owner, Carol Gibson, announced her intent to re-open in a now deleted Tweet that said: “GREAT NEWS!!!! We are opening THIS Friday!!!! 3:00pm – Midnight.”

On Saturday night, there was a long line to get into the bar, which is located on the Erath County courthouse square.

An email sent to Gibson asking for a comment on her decision to re-open was not returned.
