Another longtime resident of the animal shelter is among this week’s featured pets.

Baxter

This week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society include Baxter, a one to two-year-old male black Labrador/Retriever mix, that has been at the shelter since April.

“He is a super sweet boy,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News. “He is a little nervous around new people, but warms up quickly and is dog-friendly.”

Baxter is neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped.

Violet

Violet is a four-month-old female domestic shorthair.

“She is the last of her litter and a very sweet little girl,” Serena said. “She appears to have a slight case of wobbly kitten syndrome.

“It affects her balance slightly, but not her quality of life. She loves chasing flies and has a sweet temperament.”

She is litter box trained and microchipped.

If you would like to meet Baxter, Violet and the other 91 dogs and 85 cats up for adoption, stop by the animal shelter at 891 East Road in Stephenville.
