Annual Penny Auction offers chance to win some big prizes. The fun happens Saturday at Faith Lutheran Church.
It’s time to count those pennies! (Not literally.)
The Cross Timber Business and Profession Women is gearing up for the annual Penny Auction this weekend at Faith Lutheran Church.
Doors open at 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, but the fun begins at 6 p.m. with a silent auction that will include 20 items to bid on.
BUT DON’T BRING PENNIES!
Cards will be sold for $10 each. The numbered chips will correspond to the cards, so money will never swap hands.
Players can purchase as many numbers as they wish; every number purchased will be in the wheel for every drawing so there is always a chance to win.
Prizes will include gift certificates to area restaurants like Newton’s Saddlerack and El Corral, merchandise from Scott’s Flowers, Cheerful Heart and a variety of other local retailers and services from businesses like All Around Cleaners.
Food and drinks will be available at the concession stand so come hungry.
Proceeds benefit local organizations like Backpack Buddies, Habitat for Humanity and Cross Timbers Family Services as well as local scholarships.
